Calvin Abueva threatens to leave Magnolia if ejection against Brgy. Ginebra proven valid

Through a now-deleted Instagram story, Magnolia forward Calvin Abueva threatened to leave the Hotshots if anybody can prove that he deserved the technical foul that was slapped on him by game officials after his altercation with Brgy. Ginebra guard Nards Pinto in the 4th quarter of their game last Sunday at the Mall of Asia Arena in Pasay City.

Abueva, who was earlier whistled for the same infraction against the same player, was just standing in close proximity to Pinto when the call was made.

“Bigyan niyo ako ng malinis na video kung meron o wala,” wrote Abueva.

“Kung meron man aalis ako sa Magnolia kung mali ba ang tawag na yun,” added the 2013 PBA Rookie of the Year.

The 34-year old Pampangueno, who contributed 9 points, 8 boards, 2 assists and a steal in the much-needed win, hurriedly left the venue after the ejection and was overheard saying “Japan, Japan. Bye PBA” while walking towards the exit.

He has now been summoned by league commissioner Willie Marcial to appear before him on Tuesday, June 21.
