Hotshots sign Rafi Reavis, Alvin Abundo, Kyle Pascual to new deals
Magnolia just came to terms with three of its players with expiring contracts.
Hotshots head coach Chito Victolero revealed the contract renewals of Rafi Reavis, Alvin Abundo and Kyle Pascual with the 43-year old Reavis currently undergoing quarantine protocols before joining the group practice sessions which started last week.
“So halos kumpleto na kami,” said the former Mapua Cardinals coach who, however, added that he wasn’t privy to the terms of the new deals.
“I don’t know yung length ng kontrata nila at yung ibang detalye. Ang sa akin lang yung recommendation para mabuo yung team. Sa mga key players I also have my recommendation on how long, pero yung ibang players hindi ko alam yung negotiations nila.”
The 2014 PBA Grand Slam champions now have 12 players on board including new acquisition Calvin Abueva who arrived earlier this week via trade from the Phoenix Super LPG Fuel Masters.
Michael Calisaan and Jessie Saitanan, on the other hand, were relegated to the unrestricted free agent pool.
Victolero bared the the team is reserving one spot for veteran Marc Pingris who is still undecided on whether to play for one more season or retire while the rest of the open slots will be for incoming rookies.
“Ang huli naming pag-uusap, he continues to do his rehab and therapy para lumakas siya,” said the 2018 Baby Dalupan Coach of the Year awardee. “We have two to three more slots doon sa mga kukuhanin namin na rookies sa draft.”
