Magnolia def Brgy. Ginebra, 91-80 [PBA on Tour | June 11, 2023]

Magnolia outfought Barangay Ginebra at the finish and carved out a 91-80 triumph in their PBA On Tour Manila Clasico tiff at the Ynares Sports Center in Antipolo Sunday.

From a 72-all count, Mark Barroca and his teammates unleashed a key run to open a gap and go on to stretch their perfect run to four games.

Magnolia made it 4-0 while dealing Ginebra a second loss in as many starts.

Barroca top scored for 20 points with Jerrick Ahanmisi, Jio Jalalon and Jackson Corpuz adding 17, 12 and 11 points, respectively, for the Hotshots.

Paul Lee struggled all night but drained a trey that all but clinched the Magnolia win at 89-80 with less than two minutes left to play.

Before that, the former UE hotshots was 0-of-5 from beyond the arc.

After Lee’s three-pointer, James Laput grabbed an offensive rebound and scored on a putback to cap a remarkable eight-point and 12-rebound showing for the Hotshots.
