Adrian Wong signs two-year deal with Magnolia
Magnolia has signed new recruit Adrian Wong to a two-year deal.
The 25-year old former Ateneo standout spent his first two years in the pro league with Rain or Shine, the team that took him 5th overall in the 2019 PBA rookie draft. The two parties, however, failed to come to terms after Wong’s original contract lapsed on the 31st of January.
The 6-foot-3 wingman signed the contract in the presence of Hotshots team manager Alvin Patrimonio and PJ Pilares of Titan Management Group (TMG).
TMG announced the signing through their Instagram account.
“Fresh two years,” wrote the agency along with a photo of Wong in a Magnolia jersey.
Wong, who averaged 4.6 points during his first conference with the Raymond Yu and Terry Que-owned franchise, is known for his ability to knock it down from long distance coupled with a mean defensive game. One highlight of his young PBA career was when he scattered a total of 27 points in back-to-back games against NorthPort and Alaska on October 18 and 22, 2020. He drained seven triples in that stretch.
He averaged 1.6 points in 8 minutes of action in 5 games for the Elasto Painters in the stalled 2021 Governors’ Cup.
