WATCH: Purefoods vs Zamboanga [PBA 3×3 Leg 5 | December 11, 2021]

Leg 4 winner Purefoods and Limitless App went three-for-three Saturday to punch their tickets to the quarterfinals of the PBA 3×3 Lakas ng Tatlo’s fifth leg at the Ynares Sports Arena.

Titans quartet Joseph Eriobu, Jed Mendoza, Pao Javelona and Jun Bonsubre continued their winning form from last weekend as they hurdled NorthPort, 21-19, Zamboanga Valientes, 21-6, and Pioneer Pro Tibay, 21-19, in Pool A play.

Appmasters Brandon Rosser, Jorey Napoles, Reymarc Caduyac and Marvin Hayes matched Purefoods’ hot start, running over Zamboanga, 22-7, Pioneer, 21-13, and NorthPort, 21-10.

The Titans and the Appmasters will dispute the No. 1 spot in the group in the final day of the elims Sunday morning.

Pioneer’s Carlo Escalambre, Carlo de Chavez, Christian Rivera and new player Dan Reducto, with their 1-2 win-loss card, are assured of Pool A’s third berth regardless of the result of their elims matchup winless Zamboanga (0-3) Sunday.

Leg 2 victor Meralco and Terrafirma guaranteed their entry to the next round after getting off to 2-0 starts in Pool B.

Bolts crew Tonino Gonzaga, Alfred Batino, Dexter Maiquez, and Joseph Sedurifa edged Barangay Ginebra, 19-18, then chalked up a come-from-behind 21-19 verdict over Cavitex to fuel their drive.
