PBA teams depart for Pampanga on Monday
PBA ball clubs will start rolling to Pampanga on Monday and start workouts in three separate practice venues Tuesday in preparation for Season 46 Philippine Cup restart in less than two weeks.
“While still awaiting for the formal approval of play resumption, the PBA teams will already start practicing Tuesday,” said PBA commissioner Willie Marcial.
The league chieftain said the PBA teams hold practice sessions in three separate venues in AUF Angeles City, Beverly Place in Mexico and Colegio De Sebastian in San Fernando in anticipation of the league restart in a closed-circuit format within the province of Pampanga.
Everyone is excited for the resumption of play that has been shelved since the completion of the Aug. 1 double-header at the Ynares Sports Arena in Pasig where Tropang Giga and Rain or Shine topped Phoenix Super LPG and Terrafirma Dyip, respectively.
“I would have to say excited would be an understatement right now in regards to us getting our season resumed,” Rain or Shine coach Chris Gavina.
“We’re looking forward to continuing our craft and providing a little bit of relief and respite to others,” said TNT mentor Chot Reyes.
Magnolia (4-0) and TNT (3-0) pace the field with their unbeaten slates, followed by Meralco at 4-1, San Miguel at 3-1 and Rain or Shine at 4-2.
